ASHP Engineer - Service & Repair

Low Carbon Recruitment are currently working with a long-established renewable heating specialist who have running for 25 years based in Kent. They have over 30 engineers working for them already supporting domestic social housing clients across the South, London & the Midlands. They also have business units focused on commercial projects installations and repair and maintenance for blue chip clients.
They’ve built a reputation for quality, safety and reliable service. As the business continues to scale, they’re now looking for an experienced ASHP Engineer to join their field operations team.
This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys varied work, problem solving, and being hands on with modern renewable heating systems. You’ll be carrying out servicing, fault finding and repairs across a wide range of heat pump technologies, ensuring systems run efficiently and customers receive a first class service.
You will be required to travel to the warehouse to get materials and load up van stock once a week and a company van and fuel card are provided.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for the maintenance and repair of renewable heating systems across residential and commercial properties. Day‑to‑day, that means:
Heat pump servicing — Planned maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on ASHP systems
Fault finding — Quickly identifying issues across mechanical, electrical and control components
Technical reporting — Producing clear job notes, recommendations and follow‑on work assessments
Safety compliance — Working to industry standards, building regulations and internal H&S procedures
Customer interaction — Communicating clearly with tenants, clients and site teams
Associated tasks — Basic checks on ventilation systems (MVHR/MEV/PIV) where required
Requirements
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing & Heating (essential)
G3 Unvented qualification (essential)
Experience working on ASHP systems (preferred – training available)
Strong diagnostic ability across heating and plumbing systems
Excellent communication and customer service skills
High personal standards for safety, compliance and workmanship
Full UK Driving Licence
DBS or willingness to undergo one
Salary & Package
£45,000–£50,000 depending on experience
Monday – Friday – 8am – 5pm
Performance bonus (capped & uncapped options)
Overtime available
