A globally recognised aerospace manufacturer in Chalgrove is looking for an Assistant Production Planner to join its Pyro Production Control team. You’ll be providing operational and administrative support to the production planning function, keeping documentation accurate, materials flowing, and the production schedule on track in a safety-critical manufacturing environment.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Preparing, issuing, and maintaining production drawings and associated documentation in line with revision control
  • Liaising with Engineering and Planning to resolve drawing discrepancies and ensure documentation supports the Master Schedule
  • Implementing Engineering Change Documents including removal of obsolete stock
  • Receiving, investigating, and actioning re-pick requests, including physical picking of hardware and pyrotechnic items from stores and magazines
  • Maintaining accurate records of issued materials, substitutions, and shortages
  • Tracking open reservations and missing components, escalating issues that could impact the Master Schedule
  • Coordinating with procurement, stores, and manufacturing to maintain smooth supply to production lines
  • Monitoring and clearing SAP COGI queues, investigating and resolving transactional posting errors
  • Reviewing and maintaining accuracy of Production Order clocking records
  • Supporting planners with daily and weekly schedules, output reports, and priority lists
  • Contributing to continuous improvement across planning and material management processes

What you need:

  • Experience in a manufacturing or production support environment
  • ERP/MRP system experience - SAP preferred
  • Understanding of material handling and inventory control
  • Strong organisational skills with good attention to detail
  • Confident with Microsoft Office and basic administration routines
  • Good communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
  • GCSE Maths and English or equivalent
  • Previous production planning experience desirable

What’s on offer:

  • £30,000 per annum
  • Days: 08:00–17:00 Mon–Thu / 08:00–12:00 Fri
  • Strong benefits package
  • Genuine progression opportunities
  • Long-term stability with over a decade of secured contracts

This is a permanent position with a respected name in aerospace manufacturing. A varied, fast-paced planning support role where organisation, accuracy, and the ability to keep multiple plates spinning genuinely matter.
