Salary:                  Up to £55,000 + Car / Car Allowance + 15% Bonus + Benefits

Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join their regional construction team.

The successful candidate will initially work on a major residential development in Swindon. Ideally, applicants will be based in Bristol or Gloucester, with opportunities to work on future developments across the wider region.

Assistant Site Manager – The Role

Working alongside an experienced Site Manager, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of a large residential development, overseeing day-to-day site operations, subcontractors, build quality and programme delivery.

Assistant Site Manager – Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist with the day-to-day management of a large residential development.
• Coordinate subcontractors, trades and suppliers to ensure programme targets are achieved.
• Monitor build quality, ensuring homes are completed to the highest standards.
• Maintain excellent health and safety standards across the site.
• Undertake site inspections and ensure compliance with NHBC requirements.
• Assist with construction programmes, site logistics and material deliveries.
• Monitor subcontractor performance, productivity and workmanship.
• Oversee plot completions, snagging and handovers.
• Support the Site Manager in delivering the development safely, on time and to budget.

Assistant Site Manager – Requirements

• Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager within residential housebuilding.
• Ideally experience working for a national or regional PLC housebuilder.
• Strong knowledge of residential construction methods and build processes.
• SMSTS and First Aid qualifications are essential.
• A proven track record of maintaining high standards of build quality.
• Stable employment history with good longevity in previous roles.
• Strong communication, organisational and leadership skills.
• Able to commute to Swindon, ideally based in Bristol or Gloucester.

Assistant Site Manager – Salary & Package

• Basic salary up to £55,000, depending on experience.
