We are recruiting for a Business Services Officer to join a busy corporate services team on a 9-month maternity cover contract. Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support internal audit processes, including maintaining audit trackers and managing follow-up reviews.
  • Support the preparation of Board and committee papers.
  • Lead the annual insurance renewal process and act as a key contact for brokers and insurers.
  • Provide fleet management support, overseeing databases, compliance records, driver information, and vehicle data.
  • Coordinate and submit annual regulatory returns, ensuring accuracy and resolving validation queries.
  • Deliver training and guidance on business services functions when required.
  • Line manage the Fleet Coordinator, Business Services Assistant, and Reception team, conducting regular reviews and providing coaching and support.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with auditors, insurers, internal stakeholders, and external partners.
  • Contribute to corporate governance activities and provide wider administrative support across the department.

About You

  • Experience working within a business support, governance, compliance, insurance, or corporate services environment.
  • Previous line management or supervisory experience.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and database management.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Able to work independently, use initiative, and make effective decisions.
  • Experience working with insurance processes, fleet management, SharePoint, or document management systems would be advantageous.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to support a wide range of business functions.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced business support professional seeking a varied role with management responsibility within a well-established organisation.
