Care Support Worker (BSL)

22.5 Hours per Week | Part-Time Permanent Role

Location: Basildon, Essex
Salary: £15,737 (£26,228 FTE)

Are you passionate about supporting people to live independent, fulfilling lives?

We're looking for a caring and motivated Care Support Worker to join our team, supporting deaf individuals in their own homes and local communities. This is a rewarding role where you'll build meaningful relationships, promote independence, and help people achieve the things that matter most to them.

What You'll Be Doing

• Supporting people with daily living, personal care and wellbeing
• Using British Sign Language (BSL) to communicate effectively
• Encouraging independence, choice and confidence
• Supporting people to access activities, appointments and community activities
• Working closely with families, colleagues and other professionals

What You'll Need

Essential

• Full UK manual driving licence
• BSL skills through training, qualifications, or lived experience
• A caring, compassionate and person-centred approach
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Flexibility to work a rota that includes evenings, weekends and sleep-ins

Desirable

• Previous experience in a care or support setting
• Care Certificate or NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care
