Class 2 Night Driver Jobs in Rochester
We are currently recruiting for a Class 2 HGV Driver (Category C) to join a leading logistics company in Rochester on a temp-to-perm basis
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced or newly qualified HGV Class 2 Driver looking for stable night work, competitive pay, and a permanent career opportunity with a global transport and logistics provider.
You'll be responsible for completing multi-drop deliveries of automotive parts to dealerships and trade customers, ensuring all deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
The Role
As a Class 2 Night Driver, your duties will include:
- Multi-drop deliveries of vehicle parts to dealerships and automotive customers.
- Completing approximately 12-14 drops per shift.
- Delivering within designated postcode areas and planned routes.
- Operating your Class 2 vehicle safely and professionally.
- Using a pallet truck to unload deliveries where required.
- Completing vehicle checks and defect reporting.
- Using handheld scanners and electronic delivery systems.
- Providing excellent customer service at every delivery point.
- Ensuring compliance with Driver Hours and Road Transport regulations.
What We're Looking For
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV Licence
- Current Driver CPC Qualification Card
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Newly qualified drivers welcome
- No more than 6 penalty points
- No DD, DR, IN or CD endorsements
- Good understanding of UK road networks
- ADR licence desirable but not essential
- Reliable, professional and customer-focused
- Ability to work independently and manage a busy route
