Location: Pinxton, Nottinghamshire
Salary: From £36,000 - £37,000 per annum
Hours: Monday-Thursday, 7:00am-4:00pm; Friday, 7:00am-11:30am
Job Type: Permanent

About the Company

We are recruiting for an experienced CNC Turner to join a well-established, multi-site precision engineering company specialising in the aerospace and oil and gas industries.

This opportunity offers long-term stability, regular overtime and the chance to develop additional skills in cylindrical, universal and surface grinding, with full training provided.

The Role

You will set and operate CNC turning machines using Fanuc controls, manufacturing precision components to engineering drawings and technical specifications.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Set and operate CNC turning machines to produce precision-engineered components.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Carry out dimensional and quality checks to ensure components meet required specifications and tolerances.
• Undertake cylindrical, universal and surface grinding duties, with training provided where required.
• Maintain high standards of accuracy, quality and health and safety.
• Work closely with the production team to meet manufacturing requirements.

About You

• Previous experience setting and operating CNC turning machines is essential.
• An engineering background or relevant apprenticeship qualification.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Good attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality components.
• Experience with Fanuc controls would be advantageous.
• Cylindrical, universal or surface grinding experience would be beneficial but is not essential, as full training is provided.
• Vertical boring experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
