Commercial Catering Engineer – Mobile

Location: East of Scotland, covering the Central Belt
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

FM Search & Select are recruiting for an experienced Commercial Catering Engineer to join a well-established building services company.

This is a mobile role, ideally suited to an engineer based in the East of Scotland, covering commercial sites across the Central Belt.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), servicing and reactive repairs on commercial catering equipment.

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and gas-related faults, where appropriately qualified.

• Attend breakdowns and ensure equipment is returned to full working order efficiently.

• Service and maintain a range of commercial kitchen equipment, including ovens, fryers, grills, dishwashers and other catering appliances.

• Complete service reports and maintenance documentation accurately.

• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations.

• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients.

• Participate in an on-call rota, with occasional overtime available.

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Commercial Catering Engineer.

• Strong fault-finding, servicing and repair experience.

• Relevant commercial catering gas qualifications (COMCAT) for gas equipment work.

• Good electrical and mechanical knowledge.

• Ability to work independently in a mobile engineering role.

• Full UK driving licence.

• Good communication and customer service skills.

• Flexibility to participate in an on-call rota and occasional overtime.
