TEACHER OF COMPUTER SCIENCE

1 September 2026 – 31 December 2026 | Full-Time (5 Days per Week) | MPS/UPS (Dependent on Experience) | Tonbridge, Kent

About the Role and Key Responsibilities

TailorEDucation is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Teacher of Computer Science to join a secondary school in Tonbridge from September 2026 until December 2026.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality Computer Science lessons across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, inspiring students to develop their computational thinking, programming skills, and understanding of digital technologies.

Key responsibilities include:

• Planning and delivering engaging Computer Science lessons across KS3–KS5
• Teaching GCSE and A-Level Computer Science
• Preparing schemes of work and lesson resources in line with the curriculum
• Assessing, monitoring and recording student progress
• Marking classwork, homework and assessments in accordance with school policies
• Providing constructive feedback to support student achievement
• Maintaining high standards of behaviour and classroom management
• Supporting students of varying abilities to achieve their full potential
• Contributing to departmental planning and school initiatives where required

The Ideal Candidate Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
• Experience teaching Computer Science within UK secondary schools
• The ability to teach Computer Science up to Key Stage 5 (A-Level)
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Computer Science education
• Experience of planning, assessment and marking
• Excellent classroom management skills
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
