Contracts Manager/Estimator

Job description

Our manufacturing client is currently looking for a contracts manager/estimator.

The purpose of the role is to advise, design, estimate costs and manage all aspects of our client projects

Job Specification:

• Attending site and assist customers to determine project scope and objectives
• Design and produce drawings for approval
• Produce cost quotations
• Process orders, purchasing all materials and equipment
• Work with the production manager to schedule production
• Monitor projects to ensure they are on time and within budget
• Manage all relevant documentation
• Keep customers up to date with project progress
• Carry out site assessments producing method statements and risk assessments
• Meet budgetary objectives making adjustments to project constraints where necessary
• Maintain a positive approach with customers and colleagues at all times

Person Specification:

• Ideally education to Degree/ HNC in Fabrication Engineering or General Engineering
• In-depth experience within the metal fabrication industry
• 3D CAD Design
• Computer literate
• Possess a driving licence

This is a permanent day shift role
