Cover Supervisor – Bradford | Beckfoot Trust Schools

The Supply Register is working in partnership with Beckfoot Trust to recruit confident and reliable Cover Supervisors to work across its secondary schools in Bradford.

We have full-time and part-time opportunities available, including long-term placements with the potential to become permanent. Applications are welcome from experienced Cover Supervisors, graduates, aspiring teachers and individuals with experience supporting young people.

Opportunities are available across:

• Beckfoot School

• Beckfoot Upper Heaton

• Beckfoot Thornton

• Beckfoot Oakbank

The Role – Cover Supervisor

You will supervise secondary school classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain engaged with pre-planned lessons and maintaining a positive classroom environment.

• Supervise classes across different subjects and year groups.

• Deliver pre-planned lesson materials and follow teachers' instructions.

• Maintain effective classroom and behaviour management.

• Encourage positive behaviour and student engagement.

• Report concerns or incidents to relevant school staff.

What We're Looking For

• Experience working with children or young people, ideally in education, youth work, mentoring, sports coaching or behaviour support.

• Strong behaviour management and communication skills.

• A confident, calm and professional approach.

• Ability to build positive relationships with students.

• Flexibility to work across different secondary schools.

Previous Cover Supervisor experience is desirable but not essential. Graduates, aspiring teachers and candidates with behaviour support experience are encouraged to apply.
