Job description

We are recruiting for an Electrical Design Engineer. Company location: Princes Risborough, Buckinghamshire (Office-Based)
Salary: £45,000–£50,000 per annum, with flexibility up to £50,000 for an exceptional candidate.
This is an office-based role. Candidates must either be willing to commute to Princes Risborough or relocate to the area.

Working Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Role Overview

We are recruiting an Electrical Design Engineer to join our drawing office. In this role, you will develop and enhance new and existing circuit solutions in line with company requirements and customer demands. If you are a motivated Electrical Engineer with experience in the electrical design of control panels, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance new and existing circuit solutions
• Produce electrical layouts and schematics using AutoCAD Electrical
• Create Bill of Materials (BOMs)
• Prepare specifications and test requirement documentation
• Test, develop, and debug designs
• Review design developments for conformance with applicable standards
• Support electrical panel production
• Attend and contribute to design reviews

Candidate Requirements

• Degree or HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
• Experience in electrical engineering calculations for sizing cables and electrical equipment
• Proven experience designing electrical control panels
• Ability to work efficiently as part of a busy team
• Working knowledge of simple PLC systems and programming software is desirable but not essential
