We are recruiting for an Electrical Engineer to join an established engineering team at a prestigious, large-scale government facility in Fareham.

You'll be joining a close-knit team of three engineers on a major contract that commenced in December, with an initial three-year term and the potential for a further two-year extension.

The Role

As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you'll be responsible for maintaining the electrical building services across a large, professional facility.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.
• Fault finding, diagnosing and repairing electrical systems.
• Maintaining lighting, emergency lighting, distribution boards and electrical infrastructure.
• Completing electrical testing, inspections and remedial works within your competency.
• Supporting the maintenance of mechanical and general building services where required.
• Responding to breakdowns and ensuring minimal disruption to building operations.
• Working alongside two other engineers to maintain high engineering standards.
• Ensuring all maintenance activities comply with health and safety regulations.
• Completing maintenance reports and updating site documentation.
• Liaising professionally with site management and building occupants.

What We're Looking For

• Qualified Electrical Engineer with relevant electrical qualifications.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations desirable.
• Previous experience in commercial building maintenance or facilities management.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and maintenance experience.
• Experience working on PPM and reactive maintenance.
• A proactive, reliable engineer who enjoys working as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and a professional approach.
