Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Location: Barnsley, South Yorkshire
Salary: £48,300 per annum
Shifts: 3 Shift Pattern (Days, Afters & Nights)
Job Type: Permanent

Questech Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a rapidly expanding manufacturing business based in Barnsley.

The Role:

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on manufacturing machinery.

• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults to minimise downtime.

• PLC fault finding and troubleshooting.

• Support installation work, engineering projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health and safety procedures.

• Work closely with production teams to maintain efficient plant operations.

The Person:

• NVQ Level 3 qualified in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, ideally apprentice trained.

• Previous electrical maintenance experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.

• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

• Experience with PLC fault finding.

• Proactive approach to maintenance with strong problem-solving skills.

Salary & Working Hours:

• Salary: £48,300 per annum

• Shifts: Monday to Friday rotating 3-shift pattern:

  • Mornings: 6am – 2pm

  • Afternoons: 2pm – 10pm

  • Nights: 10pm – 6am

• Day shifts at weekends every 4th cycle.
