Export Operator – Multimodal Freight

Location: Basildon
Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday

Join a leading freight forwarder as an Export Operator, managing shipments and supporting customers across international freight operations.

Experience across ocean, air and road freight would be useful, but it isn’t essential. If you have solid experience in one of these modes and are keen to develop your knowledge across others, we’d like to hear from you.

The role

You’ll help coordinate export shipments from booking through to dispatch, keeping customers and partners updated and making sure the paperwork and details are handled accurately. Duties may include:

• Booking shipments and coordinating with customers, carriers and overseas agents

• Preparing and checking export documentation

• Tracking shipments and providing updates

• Supporting quotations and responding to customer queries

• Helping resolve delays or other shipment issues

• Maintaining accurate records and following operational procedures

What we’re looking for

• Experience in freight forwarding or export operations in ocean, air or road freight

• Good communication and organisation skills

• A careful, customer-focused approach

• The ability to manage competing priorities
