Job description

Female Support Worker (Acquired Brain Injury)
Location: Llandudno
Pay Rates: £15 per hour | £62 per sleep (11pm–7am)

Enhanced Healthcare are looking for an experienced and compassionate Support Worker to join our team supporting a gentleman with an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) in his own home and out in the community, Driving licence is essential as you would be required to drive the gentleman's own vehicle.

Shifts can vary between 7 and 24 hours, depending on the rota and the needs of the individual. Typical shifts include:

  • 10am–5pm
  • 5pm–11pm (followed by sleep 11pm–7am)
  • 7am–10am

About the Role

You’ll be supporting a friendly and sociable gentleman who enjoys:

  • People watching and chatting about what’s going on around him
  • Getting out in the community for coffee and local trips
  • Watching the soaps and sports
  • Talking about Liverpool FC and cars

Due to the impact of his brain injury, he can sometimes shout or display verbal behaviours, including while travelling in the car. It’s important that you’re able to remain calm and professional, understanding that these behaviours are part of his condition and not personal.

He has some speech difficulties but can hold great conversations once you get to know him. We’re looking for someone who can encourage him to try new things and broaden his routine with confidence and positivity.

You’ll support him with personal care, daily routines, cooking, and accessing the community — all while promoting independence and wellbeing.
