Fire & Security Supervisor

Location: Hertford, Hertfordshire (Hybrid)
Area Covered: North London

Salary: £60,000

We are recruiting for an experienced Fire & Security Supervisor to take the technical lead on a major residential maintenance contract.

This is a hands-on supervisory role, responsible for overseeing engineers, subcontractors and the delivery of compliant fire and security maintenance services.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise, lead and develop engineers and specialist operatives.
• Oversee planned maintenance, inspections, testing, repairs and remedial works.
• Carry out site inspections, quality checks and audits.
• Review and approve certification and technical reports.
• Manage specialist subcontractors and monitor performance.
• Provide technical support, training and toolbox talks.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards.
• Manage quotes, variations and work in progress.

Requirements

• Previous supervisory experience within fire and/or security maintenance.
• Experience within social housing, public sector or residential environments.
• BAFE SP203-1 experience.
• FIA qualifications or equivalent.
• Strong technical knowledge of fire alarm systems and associated equipment.
• Experience managing specialist subcontractors.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft 365 and workforce management systems.
