Rate: Day Rate – Negotiable

We are currently recruiting for a Freelance Quantity Surveyor to join a major residential development in Essex.

The project comprises a 500-unit new-build residential scheme with a reinforced concrete (RC) frame, and the successful candidate will primarily focus on subcontractor package management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing subcontractor packages from procurement through to final account.

• Reviewing and negotiating subcontractor quotations and placing orders.

• Managing valuations, variations and change control.

• Monitoring costs, commitments and package budgets.

• Liaising with site teams, subcontractors and the wider commercial team.

• Ensuring accurate commercial reporting and cost control throughout the project.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor for a main contractor.

• Strong experience in subcontractor package management.

• Residential new-build experience is essential.

• Experience working on RC frame projects would be highly advantageous.

• Available to start immediately or at short notice.
