Job Opportunity: Domestic Gas Engineer

Position: Qualified Domestic Gas Engineer

Example Recruitment Group is currently working with a well-established national heating contractor specialising in the local authority sector. They are seeking a qualified Domestic Gas Engineer to cover the NP postcode area. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out servicing, repairs, and maintenance within domestic social housing properties on a Housing Association contract.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out annual Gas Safety Checks (LGSR)
• Fault finding and repairs on central heating systems
• Deliver a high level of customer service, ensuring tenants receive excellent care
• Adhere to all Health & Safety regulations, including Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work, and COSHH records

Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience with gas qualifications
• Extensive experience in servicing boilers and gas appliances, as well as strong fault-finding, diagnostic, and repair skills
• In-date ACS qualifications, including CKR1 & HTR1
• Full UK driving licence
• No unspent criminal convictions (DBS check to be carried out upon offer of employment)

Salary & Benefits:

• 42.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
• Additional overtime and weekend work available at enhanced rates
• Van, tools, PPE/uniform, and PDA provided
• Salary: £40,000 per year
• Out-of-hours call-out rota (1 week in 4)
• OTE £50,000+ per annum
• 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
• Pension scheme
