Skilled Careers is recruiting reliable, switched-on Gatemen for construction sites across Canterbury. Immediate opportunities are available for suitable candidates.

 THE ROLE – WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Controlling site access and monitoring vehicles and personnel entering and leaving.
• Checking visitor identification, signing people in and out, and verifying permits where required.
• Ensuring only authorised personnel enter the site.
• Recording deliveries and notifying the relevant site teams of arrivals.
• Communicating professionally with contractors, drivers, visitors and site management.
• Helping maintain site security and keeping access points organised.
• Following site health and safety, access control and emergency procedures.
• Reporting suspicious activity, incidents, hazards or security concerns promptly.

 WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• Previous Gateman, site access control or similar experience preferred.
• CSCS card preferred, subject to site requirements.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• A reliable, punctual and professional attitude.
• Confidence working independently and dealing with visitors.
• Good attention to detail and awareness of site safety.
• Reliable transport to and from site.
• The right to work in the UK and any required site checks.
