Job Description:

General Foreman - Highways | Major Infrastructure Project Contract | Kent | £350 - £400 per day (Inside IR35 / Umbrella CIS)

A leading Tier 1 contractor is looking for an experienced General Foreman to join a major infrastructure project with a significant highways package. This is a hands-on supervisory role on a high-profile scheme at the forefront of the UK's critical infrastructure programme.

The Role

You'll be on the ground leading the workforce across the highways package, driving productivity, maintaining standards and making sure the work gets done safely and to programme. Day to day you can expect to be involved in:

• Supervising and coordinating labour, plant and subcontractors on site
• Ensuring works are delivered safely, on time and to the required quality
• Toolbox talks, inductions and day-to-day Health & Safety management
• Liaising with the Site Engineer and Section Engineer on setting out and quality
• Monitoring progress against programme and flagging issues early
• Maintaining site records, daily diaries and allocation sheets

What We're Looking For

• Proven General Foreman experience on highways or civil infrastructure schemes
• Strong people management and organisational skills
• CSCS Black Card (Supervisory level)
• SMSTS certificate (essential)
• First Aid at Work (preferred)
• Experience working within a Tier 1 or Tier 2 environment
• A practical, solutions-focused approach - someone who leads from the front
