Health and Safety Manager
Salary: Circa £70,000 + Benefits
Location: Battle, South East England

We are supporting a leading specialist utilities contractor to recruit an experienced Health & Safety Manager. This hands-on role offers the chance to make a real impact on safety culture and operational excellence across multiple projects.

Responsibilities of the Health and Safety Manager will include:

• Lead and develop the health, safety, environment, and quality (HSE) strategies across the business.
• Oversee compliance with UK safety legislation, ISO standards, and environmental requirements.
• Conduct risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations to proactively manage safety risks.
• Promote continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring safety protocols are effectively adopted.
• Develop and deliver HSE training to support ongoing employee engagement and competence.
  

The successful Health and Safety Manager will have:

• Proven experience managing HSE within construction, utilities, or water sectors.
• NEBOSH certificate or equivalent
• Strong knowledge of UK legislation, ISO standards, and audit processes.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills to influence teams.
