Hgv Class 1 Driver

Job description

We are currently recruiting experienced Class 1 (C+E) HGV Drivers for trunking work based in Sutton.

This is an excellent opportunity for reliable, professional drivers looking for consistent work within a well-organised transport operation.

The Role

• Trunking work between depots and distribution centres.
• Primarily depot-to-depot deliveries with no handballing expected on standard trunking duties.
• Safe and efficient operation of a Class 1 vehicle.
• Completing vehicle checks and ensuring all deliveries are carried out in accordance with road safety and company procedures.
• Maintaining accurate delivery paperwork and communicating effectively with the transport team.

Driver Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year’s Class 1 driving experience.
• Valid Category C+E licence.
• No more than 6 penalty points.
• No major endorsements.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Reliable, punctual and professional attitude.
