HGV Technician (Nights) – Preston

Hours: Saturday to Monday, 19:00 – 07:00
Full time, permanent

Earning Potential – Salary:
£25.21 per hour
Plus Technician Grade Bonus on top
Overtime paid at 1.5x hourly rate
Realistic OTE: £52,000 – £58,000 (including shift premium and bonus)

Overview
We're looking for an HGV Technician to join a well-established commercial vehicle specialist in Preston on the night shift. Saturday to Monday nights – three shifts, strong shift premium, and a Technician Grade Bonus on top. If you're Level 3 qualified and ready for a weekend nights role, this is the one.

Key Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs and commercial vehicles
  
  
• Diagnostics and fault finding
  
  
• MOT preparation and inspections
  
  
• Maintaining workshop inventory and cleanliness
  
  
• Completing job cards and service records accurately
  
  
• Working efficiently within a busy workshop team
  
  

What You'll Need

• Level 3 qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds, or IMI) in HGV Vehicle Repair and Maintenance (essential)
  
  
• Proven experience as an HGV Technician
  
  
• Ability to identify worn and faulty components in accordance with DVSA Standards
  
  
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  
  
• Full, current UK driving licence – HGV licence beneficial but not essential
