Job Description:

HR Manager
Mid Kent – Hybrid
Up to £55,000

We're recruiting for an exciting opportunity with a growing and innovative business looking for an experienced HR professional to take ownership of its people function. This is a standalone, generalist HR position where you'll have the autonomy to shape processes, support leaders, and make a genuine impact across the business.

Working closely with the senior leadership team, you'll be the go-to HR expert, providing advice and guidance across the full employee lifecycle while helping to drive continuous improvement as the organisation continues to grow.

Duties include:

• Managing the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding through to offboarding.
• Providing expert advice and support on employee relations matters, including performance, absence, disciplinary and grievance cases.
• Maintaining HR policies and ensuring compliance with UK employment legislation.
• Coordinating monthly payroll inputs and overseeing employee benefits administration.
• Supporting recruitment activities, including agency management, interview coordination and onboarding.
• Producing HR reports and people metrics for the senior leadership team.
• Coordinating learning and development initiatives across the business.
• Leading and supporting HR projects to improve employee engagement, policies and organisational effectiveness.

The right candidate will have/be:

• CIPD Level 5 (or above), or equivalent HR experience.
• Previous experience in a generalist HR position at HR Advisor level or above.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• Experience independently managing employee relations cases.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• The ability to manage a varied workload with minimal supervision.
• Experience working within an SME or growing business would be highly advantageous.
