About the Role

Our client is a well-established and growing distributor operating across the UK. Due to continued success, they are seeking an enthusiastic Internal Account Manager to join their busy sales team in Sittingbourne.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with sales experience or a strong customer service background who is looking to develop a rewarding career in account management and business development.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for customer enquiries via phone, email and online channels
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships
• Proactively contact existing and lapsed customers to generate sales opportunities
• Promote products, services, special offers and new product lines
• Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities
• Maintain accurate customer records and sales activity within the CRM system
• Liaise with internal departments to ensure smooth order fulfilment
• Support field-based sales colleagues with account development activities
• Achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs
• Deliver outstanding customer service at every stage of the customer journey

What We're Looking For

• Previous sales, account management or business development experience, or strong customer service experience with a desire to move into sales
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Confident and professional telephone manner
• Self-motivated, proactive and target driven
• Well organised with strong attention to detail
• Ability to prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment
• Team player with a positive and solution-focused approach
