Key responsibilities
Customer and account management
•    Take day-to-day ownership of a portfolio of international customers, including distributors, importers and other healthcare partners.
•    Build effective working relationships with customer decision-makers and understand their commercial needs, product requirements and market plans.
•    Develop account plans that identify opportunities to grow sales, introduce additional products and strengthen the customer relationship.
•    Monitor customer performance against agreed sales plans and address underperformance early.
•    Coordinate internal support to resolve customer issues, maintain service levels and protect existing business.
•    Lead regular account reviews and ensure actions, owners and deadlines are recorded and followed up.
Sales growth and forecasting
•    Deliver sales against agreed budgets, forecasts and account plans.
•    Maintain accurate, up-to-date forecasts by customer, product and market, including clear explanations for material changes.
•    Track orders, sales, stock levels and expected demand to identify risks and opportunities early.
•    Work with customers and internal teams to improve forecast quality and support effective supply planning.
•    Identify opportunities to increase sales within existing accounts and develop qualified new opportunities in assigned markets.
•    Maintain a disciplined sales pipeline, with realistic values, timings, next steps and probabilities.
Commercial management
•    Prepare or coordinate customer proposals, quotations, pricing submissions and commercial reviews.
•    Work within approved pricing, credit and contractual parameters, escalating exceptions for approval.
•    Monitor account profitability and raise concerns about pricing, costs, payment performance or changing market conditions.
•    Support negotiations and ensure commercial commitments are documented and communicated internally.
•    Work with Finance to monitor overdue balances and support timely resolution of payment issues.
Cross-functional delivery
•    Work closely with Business Development, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance and Customer Service to support international customers.
•    Coordinate internal activity required for product launches, registrations, tenders, order fulfilment and customer commitments.
•    Ensure customer requirements and market updates are shared with relevant teams in a timely and accurate way.
•    Maintain clear records of customer contacts, opportunities, forecasts, orders, issues and agreed actions in the company’s systems.
Compliance and market knowledge
•    Conduct international customer activity in line with company policies and applicable legal, regulatory and ethical requirements.
•    Follow agreed procedures for customer due diligence, distribution partners, product information and commercial approvals.
•    Keep informed about customer developments, market conditions and competitor activity in assigned territories.
•    Raise potential compliance, quality, supply or reputational concerns promptly through the appropriate channels.
Measures of success
Performance will be assessed against agreed objectives, which may include:
•    Sales revenue and gross profit against budget and forecast.
•    Growth and retention of assigned customer accounts.
•    Forecast accuracy and timely updates.
•    Quality and progression of the sales pipeline.
•    Customer service, responsiveness and resolution of account issues.
•    Timely completion of account plans, reviews and reporting.
•    Effective coordination of customer commitments across internal teams.
•    Compliance with company processes and applicable requirements.
Experience and skills
•    Experience in international sales, account management or business development, ideally in pharmaceuticals, healthcare or another regulated industry.
•    A track record of managing customer accounts and delivering sales growth.
•    Experience preparing forecasts, monitoring performance and taking action when results are below plan.
•    Strong commercial judgement, including confidence discussing pricing, margins, payment terms and customer commitments.
•    Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across cultures and time zones.
•    Organised and persistent, with the ability to manage several customers, opportunities and deadlines at once.
•    Confident using CRM, forecasting and reporting tools.
