Junior CAD Technician

Gravesend, Kent

£27,000 - £32,000 Basic + Holiday + Pension + Training + Long-Term Career Opportunity

An established and growing technology infrastructure contractor is looking to appoint a Junior CAD Technician to support the production and management of technical drawings across a variety of structured cabling and network infrastructure projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the beginning of their CAD career who is looking to develop their skills within a supportive and experienced team. The role is less focused on complex design work and more centred around producing, updating and maintaining accurate project drawings while working closely with Project Managers and Engineers.

The Role

• Produce and update 2D AutoCAD drawings for live projects
• Create and amend as-built drawings following installation works
• Support Project Managers with drawing revisions and technical documentation
• Organise and maintain drawing registers and digital project files
• Ensure drawings are accurate, up to date and issued correctly
• Liaise with engineers to incorporate site changes into project drawings
• Assist with general project administration where required
• Develop your CAD skills through on-the-job training and mentoring

The Person

• Basic knowledge or experience using AutoCAD
• A relevant qualification, apprenticeship or some commercial CAD experience
• Good attention to detail and an organised approach to work
• Comfortable working with technical drawings and documentation
• Strong Microsoft Office skills
