Job Description:

A well-established special purpose machinery manufacturer based in Sittingbourne is looking for a Graduate or Junior Design Engineer to join their design team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated graduate (or early-career engineer) who wants to gain hands-on experience designing automated machinery used across the FMCG and pharmaceutical sectors.

The Role

You will support the design of mechanical components and assemblies for special purpose machinery. Working under the guidance of experienced design engineers, you will create 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings while developing a strong understanding of design for manufacture.

Ideal Candidate

• Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
• Good understanding of mechanical design principles, materials and manufacturing processes
• Experience using 3D CAD software (Solidworks preferred) – university project experience is acceptable
• Strong attention to detail and a practical, problem-solving approach
• Ability to communicate clearly and work well within a team
• Willing to travel to Sittingbourne

£30,000 to £35,000 per annum
