Laboratory Operatives & Warehouse Pickers / Packers

Location: Paddock Wood, Kent, TN12
Pay: £12.81 per hour (Temporary) | £12.91 per hour (Permanent)

About the Roles

We are recruiting reliable and motivated individuals to join a busy operation in Paddock Wood, with opportunities available in both laboratory operations and warehouse picking and packing.

These are entry-level positions and no previous experience is required as full training will be provided.

We are looking for candidates with a positive, can-do attitude, a reasonable understanding of English to follow safety instructions and understand quantities, and a self-motivated approach to work

1. Laboratory Operatives - Early & Late Shifts

These roles involve working in a laboratory environment. Candidates should be comfortable following instructions, working accurately and maintaining a safe working environment.

Early Shift

• Working hours: 6:00am - 2:30pm

• Break: 30 minutes unpaid

• Hours: 40 hours per week

Late Shift

• Working hours: 2:30pm - 11:00pm

• Break: 30 minutes unpaid

• Hours: 40 hours per week

• Late shift premium: An additional £1 per hour for every hour worked after 7:00pm.

Pay

• Temporary: £12.81 per hour

• Permanent: £12.91 per hour

• An additional £1 per hour for every hour worked after 7:00pm on the late shift, where applicable.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with product preparation and handling.

• Follow instructions and ensure accurate quantities.

• Maintain a clean and tidy working area.

• Follow health, safety and hygiene procedures.

• Work efficiently as part of a team.

2. Warehouse Pickers & Packers - Afternoon Shift

We are also recruiting Warehouse Pickers & Packers to support day-to-day warehouse operations.

Working Arrangements

• Afternoon shift while working on a temporary contract.

• Opportunity to move to an early shift once permanent, subject to availability and business requirements.

Pay

• Temporary: £12.81 per hour

• Permanent: £12.91 per hour

• An additional £1 per hour for every hour worked after 7:00pm, where applicable.

Key Responsibilities

• Picking and packing customer orders accurately.

• Checking products, order details and quantities.

• Preparing orders for dispatch.

• Following instructions and working to required standards.

• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.

What We're Looking For

• The ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.

• A willingness to learn and take on new tasks.

No previous warehouse or laboratory experience is required. Full training will be provided.
