Legal Risk Executive - £30,000 - £50,000 DOE

Chatham | Excellent Benefits | 7 Month FTC

The Role

As a Legal Risk Executive, you'll work closely with the Legal Risk Manager and wider Legal & Risk team, helping to protect the business through contract reviews, GDPR support, commercial risk assessments and compliance activities.

This role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop specialist knowledge of commercial contracts, professional indemnity insurance and risk management whilst building relationships with stakeholders across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with reviewing and amending a wide range of commercial contracts
• Support contract negotiations and learn how to identify legal and commercial risks
• Help deliver GDPR and commercial awareness inductions to new starters
• Assist with reviewing standard scopes, templates and contractual documents
• Support colleagues with legal and compliance queries
• Monitor and escalate contractual risks where appropriate
• Assist with maintaining GDPR and data protection compliance
• Work closely with stakeholders across the business including project teams and senior management
• Support the development of commercial awareness throughout the organisation
• Contribute to improving internal legal processes and procedures

What You'll Bring

• LLB Law Degree
• Minium 2 year's experience in a legal, compliance, contracts or commercial environment
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• A genuine interest in commercial contracts and risk management
• Strong Microsoft Office skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
