Legal Secretary

Gravesend, Kent

Bridge Recruitment is working with a well-established and respected law firm in Kent that is looking to recruit an experienced Legal Secretary to join its busy Private Client department.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Legal Secretary with Private Client experience to join a supportive team and provide full secretarial support to fee earners handling a varied caseload of wills, probate and estate administration matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing full secretarial support to Private Client fee earners
  * Audio and copy typing of legal documents and correspondence
  * Preparing Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs), Codicils and Probate documentation
  * Assisting with estate administration and probate matters
  * Managing diaries, appointments and client meetings
  * Liaising with clients and handling Private Client enquiries
  * Opening files and completing AML and ID checks
  * Maintaining accurate file records and departmental administration
  * Supporting fee earners with billing, file management and matter progression

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Legal Secretary within a Private Client department
  * Strong knowledge of Wills, Probate and Estate Administration
  * Excellent audio and copy typing skills
  * Experience managing diaries and client communications
  * Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  * Ability to work independently and manage a busy workload

Desirable

• Experience preparing estate accounts and inheritance tax forms
  * Knowledge of BigHand, Oyez Forms, Excel and Partner for Windows
