Job Overview

We are currently looking for an experienced Lift Supervisor to join our team on a construction project. The successful candidate must have relevant lifting operations experience, hold a valid CPCS card and have a valid SSSTS qualification.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise lifting operations on site, ensuring all activities are carried out safely and efficiently.
• Ensure lifting operations are conducted in accordance with the lift plan, risk assessments and method statements.
• Coordinate with crane operators, appointed persons, slingers/signallers and site management.
• Ensure all lifting equipment is suitable, inspected and used correctly.
• Monitor site conditions and ensure exclusion zones are maintained.
• Ensure compliance with site health and safety procedures.
• Attend site briefings and communicate lifting requirements clearly to the workforce.
• Stop any unsafe lifting operation and report concerns to site management.

Essential Requirements

• Valid CPCS Lift Supervisor card – essential.
• Valid SSSTS qualification – essential.
• Previous experience supervising lifting operations on construction sites.
• Good understanding of lifting plans, risk assessments and method statements.
• Strong communication, organisational and leadership skills.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of health and safety.
