MIG Welder

Location: Sittingbourne, Kent
Salary: £14.00 - £16.00 per hour + overtime paid at 1.5x
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 2:15pm - 12:30am

Our client is one of the South East's leading steel manufacturing businesses and is continuing to invest heavily in automation and advanced manufacturing. They're looking for someone with solid welding experience who wants to develop their skills within a modern manufacturing environment.

Full training can be provided on robotic welding systems for the right candidate.

What you'll be doing

• Operating robotic welding cells safely and efficiently
• Setting fixtures and loading welding programs
• Monitoring production and ensuring quality standards are achieved
• Inspecting welds and carrying out touch-ups where required
• Supporting basic robot programming and fault finding
• Completing routine machine maintenance checks
• Working from engineering drawings
• Suggesting improvements to help increase productivity and efficiency

What we're looking for

• Previous MIG welding experience
• Ability to read engineering drawings
• Good attention to detail and pride in producing quality work
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Good communication and teamwork skills

It would be great if you also have:

• Robotic welding experience
• Robot programming knowledge
• TIG welding experience

Don't worry if you haven't worked with robotic welding equipment before - full training is available for experienced welders who are keen to learn.
