Mobile Carpenter / Fabric Technician

London & South East | Up to £45,000 + Van + Overtime + Training

Are you a skilled Carpenter or Fabric Technician looking for a role where your carpentry skills are genuinely valued?

I'm working with a growing Fire Protection specialist who is looking for a Mobile Carpenter / Fabric Technician to join their team, covering commercial, healthcare, education and public sector sites across London and the South East.

This is a carpentry-focused mobile role with plenty of work on doors, frames, timber repairs, and remedial works, alongside fire door installation and passive fire protection.

Fire door experience is ideal, but we'll also consider strong carpenters with the right attitude, with training available.

The Role

You'll be out on the road carrying out a mixture of carpentry, joinery, fire door and general fabric works, working across a varied portfolio of commercial sites.

You'll be responsible for:

• Installing, repairing and upgrading fire doors
• Hanging, adjusting and repairing doors
• Installing and repairing door frames
• Fitting hinges, closers, locks, seals and other ironmongery
• Carrying out timber repairs and remedial carpentry
• Installing skirting, architraves and other timber finishes
• General joinery and making-good works
• Installing timber hoarding where required
• Carrying out fire door remedial works
• Basic fire stopping around service penetrations
• Basic painting and decorating following remedial works
• Travelling between commercial sites across London and the South East

You'll need:

• Strong carpentry/joinery skills
• Experience working with doors and timber
• Fire door experience advantageous, but not essential
• Full UK driving licence
• Good attention to detail and pride in your workmanship
• A positive, hands-on approach
