Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Blackburn Area

£48,200

Monday to Friday Days

Pension employer contribution 8.5%

Our leading manufacturer with sites situated across the UK is looking for an Multi Skilled Electrical engineer to join there team. You will play a key part in minimising downtime, supporting continuous improvement and ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) on production equipment
• Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimise disruption to production
• Repair and maintain the mechanical, electrical elements of the plant
• Fault-find and resolve recurring machinery issues
• Support the development and improvement of planned maintenance systems
• Ensure machinery is maintained and repaired to a high standard
• Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve issues

Ideal Candidate:

• Apprentice-trained Maintenance Engineer, qualified to NVQ Level 3 HNC/ ONC/ HND / or equivalent
• Strong electrical maintenance background
• Experience working within a FMCG environment
• Extrusion, blow moulding and injection moulding advantageous but not essential
• PLCs and drives preferred but not essential
• Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Strong understanding of health, safety and environmental standards
