Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

About the role Our Client runs a highly automated [food / FMCG / packaging] manufacturing site and is investing in new equipment. We need a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to keep our lines running safely and reliably.

What you will do

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on production equipment
• Find and fix electrical and mechanical faults quickly to reduce downtime
• Fault-find on control systems, motors, drives, pneumatics and hydraulics
• Complete preventive maintenance and record work in the CMMS
• Suggest and deliver improvements to machine reliability
• Work safely, following lock-out and permit-to-work procedures

What you need

• Level 3 NVQ, HNC or apprenticeship in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• Proven multi-skilled experience, with strength in both electrical and mechanical work
• Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Good fault-finding skills on automated equipment
• Willing to work the site's shift pattern and overtime

Nice to have

• 18th Edition (BS 7671) qualification
• Experience fault-finding on PLC-controlled equipment
• FMCG, food or pharmaceutical background
