📌 **Job Title:** Civil Operative - Groundworker

📍 **Location:** Pembroke

💷 **Pay Rate:** £28p/hour

🕒 **Hours:** 45hours Weekly

📆 **Duration:** March 2027

Overview

Active (Pathways) Solutions are seeking skilled and motivated National Grid Authorised Groundworker to join our team. You’ll be supporting a range of substation project in Glasgow contributing to the safe and efficient delivery of high-voltage electrical works.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• 📋 Valid and up-to-date documentation – including CSCS/ Safety Passport, and relevant National Grid Persons authorization, HSG47 & Manual Handling 
• ⚡ Proven substation experience – previous work on National Grid, Scottish Power or DNO sites is essential.
• 🧾 Verifiable references – able to provide evidence of experience and competency within the substation or high-voltage industry.

We’re Looking for Individuals Who:

• ⚙️ Show excellent attention to detail – ensuring precision, quality, and safety at all times.
• 🤝 Work effectively as part of a team – collaborating with multi-discipline site crews.
• 🧠 Demonstrate initiative and problem-solving skills – adapting confidently to changing site conditions.

Desirable Additional Qualifications

Having any of the following would be an advantage:

• IPAF (MEWP)
• Telehandler (CPCS or NPORS)
• PASMA
• First Aid
• Manual Handling
• Abrasive Wheels
• Other relevant industry-related courses
