Job description

P6 Planner - 12 month contract - Barrow-in-Furness - £53.90 ph UMB or £40 ph PAYE (Inside IR35)

The Umbrella rate quoted above is the Gross Umbrella rate (i.e. the rate we pay to the Umbrella Company inclusive of ALL employment costs). Please note, the rate paid by the Umbrella will be less, as will a Limited Deemed rate or Agency PAYE rate. Please get in touch to discuss the rates via these different payment vehicles.

The Role

As a Planner, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining and managing project schedules across the project lifecycle. You'll work closely with project managers and key stakeholders to ensure effective planning, risk management, reporting and project controls activities are delivered to a high standard.

Role Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6
• Produce project reports, schedule analysis and progress updates
• Support the delivery of PMO / Project Controls activities across key work packages
• Identify, assess and manage project risks and dependencies
• Facilitate planning and progress review meetings with stakeholders
• Work collaboratively with project managers, engineering teams and senior leadership
• Mentor and support less experienced planners within the team
• Ensure plans remain aligned to project objectives, milestones and deliverables
• Support continuous improvement of planning processes and best practice

What are BAE Systems looking for from you?

Proven experience working as a Project Planner

Strong hands-on experience with Primavera P6 (essential)

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel

Defence, Shipbuilding or Oil & Gas experience is beneficial

Security Requirements: SC & UK EYES ONLY

This role will require the person to hold full Security Clearance (SC) prior to working onsite. You will need to obtain a BPSS check as part of this process. You must currently hold or be eligible and willing to obtain SC and you must be eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship and have lived and worked in the UK for a minimum 5 year period.
