Position: PDI Engineer
Salary: £28,000 to £32,000
Hours: Monday – Friday 42.5 hour week

About the Company:
My client is a well-established provider within the Powered Access industry, supplying and maintaining a wide range of access equipment nationwide. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced PDI Engineer to join our busy workshop team.

The Role:
As a Powered Access PDI Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring all equipment is fully inspected, tested, and prepared to the highest standard before being released for hire.

Key responsibilities include:

• Carrying out Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) on powered access machinery
• Inspecting, testing, and preparing equipment to ensure full compliance and safety standards
• Identifying defects and completing necessary repairs or reporting issues
• Completing documentation accurately and in line with company procedures
• Ensuring machines are clean, safe, and ready for immediate use
• Supporting workshop engineers where required

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience in a PDI, workshop, or mechanical engineering role (powered access experience preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Good mechanical and hydraulic understanding
• Ability to work well as part of a team
• NVQ or equivalent qualification in a mechanical discipline (desirable)
• Full UK driving licence (preferred)
