Plant Fitter

£46,500 per annum + Overtime + Company Van, 22 Days Holiday + Banks, Pension Scheme

£55,000 OTE

Days & Hours: Monday to Friday, days
Location: Swadlincote (approx. 80% yard-based, with occasional regional travel)

Are you an experienced Heavy Plant Fitter looking for a stable, predominantly workshop-based role with full door-to-door pay when travelling?

Do you have strong hydraulic and auto-electrical skills and want to work on specialist piling and heavy construction equipment?

Responsibilities:

• Carry out routine servicing, inspection, and preventative maintenance on piling equipment, excavators, and heavy plant ancillaries.
• Perform complex fault-finding, mechanical overhauls, and hydraulic/auto-electrical repairs in our main Swadlincote workshop.
• Respond to occasional site call-outs and carry out field repairs, benefiting from full door-to-door pay and a company van.
• Maintain strict safety standards while adapting to occasional night shifts or short stayaways when project needs require.

The role:

• Stable Base: Spent 80% of your time at our Swadlincote site with fixed early hours and Friday early finishes.
• Great Pay & Perks: Earn £46,500 /yr base with weekly pay, overtime, door-to-door travel coverage, and a company van provided.
• Specialist Equipment: Work on high-spec piling rigs, heavy excavators, hydraulic systems, and auto-electrical setups.

About you:

• Qualified & Experienced: Holds an NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plant Maintenance (or equivalent) with proven heavy plant experience.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in hydraulic fault-finding, engine repairs, and auto-electrical diagnostic work.
• Licence & Flexibility: Holds a full UK driving licence and is willing to undertake occasional stayaways or night shifts when needed.
