Pre-Assessment Nurses for Weekend Insourcing Contract

Job description

Pertemps Medical Professionals are recruiting experienced Pre-Assessment Nurses for an exciting insourcing project in Norwich. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established weekend service supporting increased surgical activity, with a strong likelihood of extension beyond the initial contract period.

Assignment Details

Location: Norwich

Start Date: 14th November

Contract Length: 3 Months (likely to extend)

Shifts: Every Saturday and Sunday

Shift Times: 08:00 – 17:00

Positions Available: 5 Nurses required each day

Patient Volume: Approximately 8 patients per nurse per day

Rate of Pay: £35+ per hour via LTD

Umbrella and PAYE options also available

Role Requirements

• NMC Registered Nurse
• Previous Pre-Assessment experience essential
• Strong understanding of surgical pathways and patient screening
• Competent in carrying out comprehensive pre-operative assessments
• Ability to identify and escalate clinical concerns appropriately
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Right to work in the UK

The pre-assessment service will support a high-volume elective surgical programme across a variety of specialties, including:

• General Surgery

• Gynaecology
• Vascular Surgery
• Oral Surgery

• Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy
• Arthroscopy – Knee
• TURBT Procedures
• Cystoscopy Procedures
• Sentinel Lymph Node Biopsy
• Excision of Skin Lesions
• Endometriosis Surgery
• Ureteric Stent Procedures
• Varicose Vein Ablation
• Bronchoscopy
• Orthopaedic Metalwork Removal
• Dental Extraction Procedures
