** SEND Teaching Assistant – Woodchurch, Wirral, Merseyside**

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a SEND Teaching Assistant in Wirral to work in a dedicated educational environment. This role is ideal for individuals who are committed to making a positive difference in the lives of young learners and possess experience supporting children in SEND, school, or care settings.

As a SEND Teaching Assistant in Wirral, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with SEND on a 1:1 basis and within small group settings. Working closely alongside teachers and the SENCO, you will help make learning accessible and engaging for all pupils, promoting confidence and independence while ensuring a safe, inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support pupils with SEND on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Adapt learning materials and classroom activities to meet individual needs
• Promote positive behaviour and foster an inclusive classroom atmosphere
• Monitor, record, and report on progress and developments
• Support social, emotional, and communication development initiatives
• Assist with classroom preparation and maintain a safe learning environment
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, therapists, and external professionals
• Support with personal care or medical needs, where necessary
• Follow safeguarding procedures and school policies at all times

Candidate Requirements:

• Experience supporting children in SEND, school, or care environments
• Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain)
• Right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available)
