Smile Education is looking for passionate and experienced Teaching Assistants to support friendly, welcoming primary schools across Middlesbrough and the surrounding areas.

Opportunities available:
- General classroom support – working alongside teachers to deliver engaging lessons.
- EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 – supporting learning across different primary year groups.
- Small-group interventions – helping children develop literacy, numeracy and confidence.
- 1:1 pupil support – providing additional help to children who need it.
- Flexible day-to-day supply – work around your existing commitments.
- Long-term opportunities – build relationships with pupils and school teams.
- Ideally, a UK-recognised Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or above.
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a UK primary school.
- A good understanding of the primary curriculum and classroom routines.
- Confidence supporting children's learning, development and emotional wellbeing.
- Experience working with children of different abilities and learning needs.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work alongside teachers.
- A positive, adaptable and proactive approach.
- A genuine passion for supporting children's education.
- Competitive PAYE rates starting from £95 per day.

- Previous experience working with children in a primary school or relevant educational setting.
- Ideally, a UK-recognised Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or above.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Enhanced child workforce DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for a new DBS.
- Satisfactory professional references and completion of safeguarding checks.
