Salary: £32,000 - £35,000 p.a. doe - plus overtime at time and a half 
Location: Sittingbourne, Kent
Permanent, full-time, site-based
Hours: 37 hours per week — Monday to Thursday, 08:00–16:45; Friday, 08:00–12:00

Westin Par is recruiting a Quality Inspector to support our client’s growing manufacturing team. With new projects underway, you’ll help ensure materials, components and finished products meet customer specifications and quality standards.

The Role

Reporting to the Quality Manager, your responsibilities as a Quality Inspector will include:

• Carrying out dimensional, visual and material inspections against engineering drawings.

• Inspecting incoming supplier parts using manual and digital measuring equipment.

• Investigating non-conforming parts, raising reports and liaising with suppliers on corrective actions.

• Completing and verifying First Article Inspection (FAI) data to AS9102 requirements.

• Reviewing inspection documents and releasing accepted products through the ERP system.

• Supporting improvements to the Quality Management System (QMS).

About You

To succeed as a Quality Inspector, you will bring practical inspection skills, attention to detail and a hands-on approach to solving problems. Your skills and knowledge will include:

• Reading engineering drawings and interpreting tolerances.

• Using measuring instruments and inspection equipment.

• Understanding ISO 9001:2015 quality requirements.

• Communicating clearly with colleagues and suppliers.

• Working effectively within a team and using Microsoft Office.

Previous experience as a Quality Inspector within manufacturing would be an advantage, alongside basic welding inspection knowledge, AS9102 experience or CMM arm programming skills. Our client also welcomes candidates with relevant practical skills and a willingness to learn.

Salary and Benefits
