Quantity Surveyor

Location: Kent 

Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus + Excellent Benefits

Are you a Quantity Surveyor looking to take the next step in your career with one of the UK's leading Tier One Main Contractors

We are recruiting on behalf of a highly respected Tier One Main Contractor with an outstanding reputation for delivering high-quality construction projects across Surrey and the South East. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an ambitious Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team, working across multiple sites.

As Quantity Surveyor you'll play a key role in the commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to final account, working closely with experienced commercial and operational teams to ensure projects are delivered successfully and profitably.

Projects range in value up to £55 million, predominantly within the Education and Healthcare sectors, offering excellent exposure to complex, high-profile developments.

The Role

• Commercial management of construction projects from inception to completion.

• Procurement and management of subcontractor packages.

• Preparing valuations, cost reports and forecasts.

• Managing variations and change control.

• Assisting with the preparation and agreement of final accounts.

• Working closely with project teams, clients and the supply chain.

• Ensuring commercial procedures and contractual obligations are met.

About You

• Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.

• Previous experience with a Main Contractor is preferred.

• Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.

• Knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contracts.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Relevant construction or commercial qualification (HNC, HND or Degree).

• Ambitious, motivated and keen to progress your career.
