We are seeking a dedicated and physically fit individual to join our team as a Refuse Loader. This role involves handling waste collection and ensuring the efficient and safe disposal of refuse. The ideal candidate will possess strong physical endurance, mechanical knowledge, and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and safety standards within the waste management industry. Duties

• Collect and load refuse from designated areas onto collection vehicles, ensuring all waste is safely secured.
• Operate basic mechanical equipment used in waste collection, with training provided if necessary.
• Assist with the maintenance and minor repairs of collection vehicles and equipment.
• Follow health and safety protocols at all times, including the proper handling of hazardous materials when required.
• Ensure all collected waste is disposed of in accordance with local regulations and company policies.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, including the loading zone and vehicle interiors.
• Assist in the organisation of collection routes to optimise efficiency and minimise environmental impact.

Experience

• Previous experience in waste collection or a similar manual labour role is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
• Demonstrated physical fitness and stamina to work outdoors in varying weather conditions for extended periods.
• A proactive attitude towards safety procedures and team collaboration is essential for success in this role.
