Job Description:

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum

We are a well-established UK engineering and manufacturing business with over 40 years of experience in designing and producing specialist electronic components and thermal management solutions. Serving customers across a diverse range of industries, we are recognised for delivering high-quality, bespoke products backed by exceptional technical expertise and customer service.

As a close-knit business, we have a team of 17 employees, including an office team of five. This allows everyone to work collaboratively, take ownership of their role and make a real contribution to the success of the company.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for an organised and proactive Sales Administrator to join our team.

This is a key administrative position supporting the Sales & Engineering Director and the Design Engineer. You will play an important role in ensuring the smooth running of the sales process, from managing customer enquiries and processing orders to following up quotations and maintaining strong customer relationships.
The ideal candidate will be highly organised, customer-focused and confident communicating with customers in a busy engineering and manufacturing environment.

• Provide administrative support to the Sales & Engineering Director and Design Engineer.
• Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Prepare, update and maintain sales documentation and customer records.
• Follow up customer quotations to secure orders and obtain feedback.
• Liaise with customers regarding enquiries, quotations, orders and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely order fulfilment.
• Maintain accurate customer and order information within company systems.
• Assist with preparing quotations, reports and general sales correspondence.
• Support the wider sales and engineering teams with administrative tasks as required.
• Handle incoming telephone calls and email enquiries professionally.

• Previous experience in a Sales Administrator, Commercial Administrator or Customer Service role.
• Previous experience preparing, managing and following up customer quotations, with the confidence to proactively contact customers to convert quotations into orders.
• Experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment is advantageous but not essential.
• Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Confident communicator with a professional and friendly telephone manner.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines.
• Strong customer service skills and a proactive approach to problem solving.
• Experience using ERP or CRM systems would be beneficial.
