Senior Practice Accountant

Location: Kent
Salary: £40,000 to £55,000 dependent on experience and qualification
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

TPF Recruitment is supporting a highly regarded independent accountancy practice in Kent with the recruitment of a Senior Practice Accountant to join their growing team.

The position would suit an ACA or ACCA qualified accountant, someone nearing qualification, or a qualified by experience practice professional seeking a varied and rewarding role within a supportive environment.

The Role

As a Senior Practice Accountant, you will manage a varied portfolio of owner managed businesses, limited companies and sole traders, providing a broad range of accounting services including:

• Preparation and review of statutory accounts
  
• Preparation and review of management accounts
  
• Review of bookkeeping and VAT returns
  
• Preparation and review of corporation tax computations and returns
  
• Managing client relationships and acting as a key point of contact
  
• Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team
  
• Assisting with some audit assignments and audit fieldwork - training provided.
  

RequirementsWe are keen to hear from candidates who have:

• ACA or ACCA qualification, are studying towards qualification, or are qualified by experience
  
• Recent experience working within an accountancy practice environment
  
• Experience preparing statutory accounts
  
• Good knowledge of management accounts and general practice work
  
• Strong communication and client relationship skills
  
• A proactive and positive approach to work
  
• A desire to broaden their technical knowledge and continue developing professionally
