Purpose of Role

Our client, VINCI Facilities, a leading provider of integrated facilities management and infrastructure solutions, is hiring for an experienced and commercially focused Senior Pre-Construction Quantity Surveyor to join a Defence team to support the commercial delivery of a secure Defence contract, ensuring effective cost planning, tendering and bidding of project works across our estate.

Job Description

Working closely with operational teams, clients and supply chain partners, you will play a key role in driving commercial performance and delivering value across the contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded professional looking to contribute to a high-profile Defence environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the commercial management of Defence construction and refurbishment works.
• Prepare and issue tender packages.
• Evaluate tender returns and assist with tender queries.
• Undertake Value for Money (VfM) exercises to ensure the client is receiving best value for money.
• Provide commercial support and help to build our tender submission, ensuring the works, prelims and risks are priced appropriately.
• Provide commercial input to internal tender settlements/adjudications with senior management.
• Assist with the procurement of supply chain upon contract award.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, supply chain partners and internal stakeholders.

Essential Qualifications/Skills

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline.
• Previous experience in a Quantity Surveying, Estimating or Commercial role.
• Experience within Construction, Building Services, Defence Infrastructure or Refurbishment environments.
• Knowledge of contractual and commercial processes.
• Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and the wider Microsoft Office suite.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Security Requirements

Due to the nature of this role, applicants must be Sole UK Nationals and be willing and eligible to obtain Developed Vetting (DV) Security Clearance. Employment is subject to the successful completion of all relevant security screening and clearance processes.
